This eLearning program examines the hazards associated with electricity and the safety measures that can be taken to reduce the risk of injury. Learners will have 2 attempts to complete the test and must achieve a score of at least 80%. La construction est une industrie unique et dynamique caractérisée par des lieux de travail et une main-d’œuvre qui changent constamment. Dans le cadre d’un projet, dix employeurs ou plus peuvent être impliqués dans de nombreux métiers différents sur le chantier. Ces lieux de travail multimétiers sont ce qui distingue l’industrie de la construction de toutes les autres. Alors que les blessures et les décès continuent de survenir année après année, la santé et la sécurité devraient demeurer la priorité absolue de tous. Ce programme d’apprentissage en ligne fournit des renseignements généraux sur les dangers et la reconnaissance des dangers dans l’industrie de la construction, en mettant l’accent sur la santé au travail et les répercussions juridiques liées à la santé et de la sécurité. Les participants apprendront comment prévenir les blessures, les maladies et les décès ainsi que comment se protéger sur les chantiers de construction. REMARQUE : Ce programme d’apprentissage en ligne ne sera pas accepté en vertu de l’entente sur la mobilité entre l’Ontario et le Québec. Pour ceux qui souhaitent travailler au Québec en vertu de cette entente, le cours de construction de niveau débutant en classe est requis.  Il s’agit d’un programme de sensibilisation seulement et ne vise pas à certifier les participants pour des travaux dans un domaine de construction qui exige une certification. Une formation propre à l’emploi doit également être fournie par l’employeur à chaque travailleur de la construction. Contenu du programme Ce programme contient des renseignements sur les éléments suivants : Droits et responsabilités des diverses parties du lieu de travail sur les projets de construction en vertu de la Loi sur la santé et la sécurité au travail et en vertu du Règlement de l’Ontario 213/91 : Chantiers de construction Identification, communication et contrôle des dangers dans la construction Outils, matériel et équipements de protection individuelle (EPI) courants dans la construction Un certificat d’achèvement pour ce programme sera remis aux apprenants qui réussissent les 17 modules. The Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) is the cornerstone legislation of occupational health and safety in Ontario. Becoming familiar with the OHSA is one important step in providing a safe and healthy workplace for all parties.
