Description
The Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) is the cornerstone legislation of occupational health and safety in Ontario. Becoming familiar with the OHSA is one important step in providing a safe and healthy workplace for all parties. This eLearning module will help learners understand the structure of the OHSA and locate references under the Act.
A minimum of 80% on the module questions must be achieved on the Knowledge Check questions to achieve a certificate of completion. Learners will have the opportunity to receive feedback on their results and retry any questions. Learners must get to the last slide of the module and Click Exit module for completion to be recorded.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this program, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the parts and sections that make up the structure of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
2. List three major workplace parties within the internal responsibilities system.
3. Locate related references in the OHSA.
4. Differentiate the key duties and responsibilities of some of the main workplace parties.
5. Identify the three basic worker rights.

By completing/passing this course, you will attain the certificate IHSA Record of Training.
